Your Neighborhood Knife Sharpener and Educator

Edgeucation Sharpening is a labor of love. I love knives and have been collecting them since I was a kid. As a teacher, I share my love of exploring history with my students. As a sharpener, I share my passion for knives with you. I will work to ensure that yours are treated with the respect they deserve. I will preserve your knife's geometry while delivering an excellent edge.

Meet the Team

Griffin Fournier

I have loved knives my whole life. On every vacation I went on, my souvenir of choice was a pocket knife. As an avid fisherman, hunter, and survivalist, I needed a sharp knife by my side.

When I went to college for my teaching degree, I got a part time job working in a kitchen. I was the prep cook, so knife maintenance fell to me. This job ignited my love for kitchen knives, and their maintenance. For years now, I have sharpened knives for friends and family, and now I will sharpen yours too!

In my kitchen, my 6.7” Masutani Nakiri is my prized possession, while my daily driver is my 7” Masutani Santoku. I have a budget-friendly beginner’s buyer’s guide here, and would love to help you find the right knife for you or your loved ones!

Erianne Fournier

Administrative Assistant

Erianne reaps all the benefits of Griffin’s passion for cooking by volunteering scheduling services and other administrative support. While she grew up understanding the importance of a sharp knife, she never fully embraced that until adulthood. When she finds herself in the kitchen instead of Griffin, she usually reaches for her trusty 5” santoku. Outside of that, her favorite hobbies are embroidery and playing with their cats, Stitch and Bobbin.
